Time Zone Converter

Convert a date and time from one IANA time zone to another using your browser’s timezone database, with DST gap and fall-back warnings.

Enter the wall-clock time in the source time zone. Conversion uses the browser’s IANA timezone database (including DST). Ambiguous fall-back times use the earlier occurrence and show a warning; nonexistent spring-forward times are also flagged.

Understanding Time Zone Converters

This converter interprets the date and time you enter as a clock reading in the source IANA time zone, finds the corresponding UTC instant, then formats that instant in the destination zone. It does not ask you to pick among duplicate fall-back times interactively.

Daylight saving behavior

  • Spring-forward gap — a local time that never occurs (for example 2:30 AM when clocks jump to 3:00). The tool shows the nearest valid instant and a warning (nonexistent).
  • Fall-back fold — a local time that occurs twice. The tool selects the earlier UTC instant (first occurrence) and shows a warning (ambiguous). It does not perfectly disambiguate by asking which occurrence you meant.

How to Use

Enter the wall-clock date and time, choose source and target zones, then convert. Prefer unambiguous local times when scheduling across DST transitions.
