About the D&D Character Stat Roller
Generate Dungeons & Dragons ability scores with methods many tables recognize: 4d6 drop lowest (per ability), classic 3d6, or seven 4d6-drop-low scores with the lowest total discarded.
How scores are assigned
Results are mapped in fixed order to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. This UI does not support free reassignment—if your table allows rearranging, copy the numbers and place them yourself (or ask your DM).
Methods
- 4d6 drop lowest — four d6 per ability; discard the lowest die; sum the rest (typically 3–18).
- 3d6 — three d6 summed per ability.
- 4d6×7 — seven independent 4d6-drop-low totals; drop the single lowest total (first index on ties); keep six in original roll order mapped STR → CHA. Per-ability reroll is disabled in this mode.
How to use
- Choose a rolling method (defaults to 4d6 drop lowest).
- Click Roll Stats. Each card shows dice; dropped dice are labeled, not marked by color alone.
- On standard methods, use Reroll on a single ability or Roll all again for a fresh set.
- Recent sets keeps your last five full rolls for comparison.
